چکیده

Galactic winds play a key role in regulating the evolution of galaxies over cosmic time. In recent years, rays (CR) formation galactic wind has increasingly gained attention. Therefore, we use radio continuum data to analyse ray transport edge-on galaxies. Data from LOFAR Two-metre Sky Survey (LoTSS) release 2 at 144 MHz (HBA) and reprocessed VLA 1.6 GHz (L-band) Continuum Halos Nearby Galaxies - an EVLA (CHANG-ES) enable us increase extent analysed profile significantly (up factor 2) compared previous studies. We compute thermal emission maps using mixture approach H-alpha near infrared data, which is then subtracted yield synchrotron maps. Then compile non-thermal spectral index intensity profiles box integration approach. Lastly, perform 1D modelling. The show evidence that LoTSS are affected by absorption, star forming regions. scale height analysis reveals most equally well fitted with one-component instead twocomponent exponential profile. find bi-modality within our sample. While NGC 3432 4013 have similar heights L-band HBA, low-frequency 891, 4157, 4631 exceed their high-frequency counterpart significantly. CR modelling shows agreement predicted magnetic field strength estimates equipartition measurements. Additionally increasing difference velocities (with disk) between central outer regions

Endothelial cells (ECs) and vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMCs) have been shown to communicate with each other via cytokine signaling during neovascularization. In this study, we investigated the effect of platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF), a cytokine released from tumors and ECs, on vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) expression in human VSMCs and underlying signal transduction path...

Service composition enables customizable services to be provided to the service consumers. Since the capabilities and the performances of mobile devices (e.g., smart phone, PDA, handheld media player) have improved, a mobile device can be utilized to interact with external mobile service providers towards providing composite Web service to remote clients. Existing approaches on mobile-hosted se...

Fred grew up in California and studied biology and played the violin at Princeton as an undergraduate. He obtained an M.D. Ph.D. at UCSF, studying under the wise tutelage of the late Ira Herskowitz. As a graduate student, he played with budding yeast ‘shmoos’ and studied how yeast pheromones arrest the cell cycle. He then went to do postdoctoral stints with Paul Nurse in Oxford and London, and ...

Exposure to an Ambient Temperature outside the Appropriate Thermoneutral Range Chang- Es the Amount and Distribution of the Differ-

EXPOSURE TO AN AMBIENT TEMPERATURE OUTSIDE THE APPROPRIATE THERMONEUTRAL RANGE CHANGES THE AMOUNT AND DISTRIBUTION OF THE DIFFERENT stages of the wake-sleep cycle in several different species.1-3 These changes may be a consequence of the differences in the capacity to regulate body temperature across the different stages of the wake-sleep cycle.3,4 In particular, it has been shown that thermore...

Chang es in EDHF in hyper tension and ageing: response to chronic treatment with renin-angiotensin system inhibitors

1. Endothelial function is impaired in hypertension and ageing and this may be associated with an increase in cardiovascular disease. Several clinical studies have shown that blocking the renin-angiotensin system (RAS) improves endothelial function not only in hypertensive patients but also in normotensive patients with cardiovascular disease. The aim of the present study was to test whether en...
